Free! Raqs Wa Bes: Egyptian Bellydance

This is a free trial class of Raqs wa Bes: Egyptian Bellydance.

You will get a taste of the upcoming 8 week series: Each class is an opportunity for women to connect with their bodies through Egyptian movement and music.

Raqs wa Bes is your invitation to drop into your body, the rhythm, and the moment. You’ll leave class feeling better than when you came!

Each week, we spotlight a song by a beloved Egyptian singer—from Oum Kalthoum to Ahmed Adaweya. Class includes a technique-based theme, but centers moving through stress and reconnecting with your body—through music and motion.

In each session, you’ll enjoy:

  • Bellydance technique
  • A welcoming space for self-expression and community
  • A chance to get your body moving
  • Cultural connection through the voices of Egypt’s beloved singers
  • a nervous system restorative practice to close
