This is a free trial class of Raqs wa Bes: Egyptian Bellydance.
You will get a taste of the upcoming dance series: Raqs wa Bes is an invitation for women to connect with their bodies through Egyptian movement and music.
Each week, we spotlight a song by a beloved Egyptian singer / composer —from Oum Kalthoum to Ahmed Adaweya. Class focuses on a technique-based theme, and centers embodying the music.
In each session, you’ll enjoy:
Egyptian raqs technique
A welcoming space for self-expression and community
A chance to get your body moving
Cultural connection through the voices of Egypt’s beloved singers
a nervous system restorative practice to close
At the end Raqs wa Bes series, you'll feel confident dancing to Egyptian style music and more connected to your body.
